Green and gold has a quietly luxurious feel, a bit like old library lamps and leather-bound books. The Sailor Pensiero Verita S Green ball pen brings that mood to your desk with a deep green resin body and gold plated trim. If you’ve been searching for a green ball pen that looks refined rather than flashy, you’ll like this one.

Our take

Green is a surprisingly versatile pen colour. It stands out from the usual black and blue without being loud, and gold fittings give it a classic, heritage touch. It’s the pen we’d suggest for someone who has “everything”: a lawyer, an architect, a professor or a book lover.

Dimensions and feel

• Length: 133mm
• Barrel diameter: 12mm
• Weight: 23g
• Capless, twist-to-open mechanism

At 23g, it has enough heft to feel like a proper writing instrument, while the resin keeps it warm and comfortable in the hand during long writing sessions.

Everyday reliability

Because it’s a ballpoint, you can use it on anything: legal pads, invoices, courier forms, notebooks and diaries. The ink dries quickly, so there’s no smudging. The twist mechanism means the tip stays retracted in your pocket or bag.

A small note on the range

Pensiero Verita S is part of Sailor’s everyday line-up. Alongside this green, you’ll find violet, red and blue versions, all finished with gold plated trim.
