Grey and gold is an underrated combination. It’s calmer than black and gold, more modern than navy, and it quietly signals good taste. The Sailor Pensiero Fiero Dark Gray ball pen pairs a charcoal grey resin barrel with gold plated trim and a weighty 28g feel for an understated executive pen that looks at home in any boardroom.

Who we’d recommend it to

This is the pen for someone who dresses in well-cut neutrals and values quality over logos. Think senior managers, doctors, architects, bankers or anyone who signs important documents every day. It’s also an excellent corporate gift because the colour suits everyone.

Specifications explained

The pen is 133.5mm long with a 12mm diameter and weighs 28g. That extra weight, compared to lighter resin pens, gives it a satisfying, steady feel. It opens with a twist of the barrel. No cap, no click, just a smooth, quiet action.

Why a ballpoint?

A good ballpoint is the most practical pen you can own. It works on almost any paper, including glossy forms and carbon copies, the ink dries quickly, and it’s always ready to go, even after sitting in a drawer for weeks.

Matching options

The Pensiero Fiero ball pen also comes in pink, so a grey and pink pair makes a thoughtful couple’s gift.
