A green full of life

Verdura (Italian for ‘greenery’) is cheerful and natural, the colour of new leaves and garden lawns. It brings energy to journals, study notes and greeting cards.

Shading that brings handwriting alive

Verdura is one of the best shading greens around. Each stroke shifts from pale to deep green, so even everyday notes look expressive. Broad, stub and italic nibs show this beautifully.

Great uses

• Highlighting headings and key points in notes
• Botanical sketching and nature journaling
• Marking and correcting, as a friendly alternative to red

Made in Germany

Rohrer & Klingner has been making inks since 1892. Its writing inks are dye-based and made to work in fountain pens, dip pens and calligraphy tools alike.

Frequently asked questions

Can I wash it out of clothes?

As a water-soluble writing ink, it is generally easier to wash out than permanent inks, though bright colours may need prompt treatment.

Does it suit fine nibs?

Yes, its generous flow keeps fine nibs writing smoothly.

Pen pairing ideas

A broad or italic nib in a demonstrator pen shows off Verdura’s fresh shading, and it looks especially vivid on bright white paper.
