Dark, mysterious and perfect for everyday use: Private Reserve Black Magic Blue is a deep, saturated dark blue with violet undertones, close to blue-black.

Why it works

• Professional: dark enough for office documents and signatures
• Interesting: a violet undertone that shows in wider nibs
• Clean writing: users report good resistance to feathering and bleed-through on decent paper
• Free flowing: keeps fine nibs writing smoothly

On the page

Low shading and no sheen produce a consistent, solid line from the first word to the last, which makes it an easy choice for long writing sessions.

Is it the same as Black Cherry?

No. Black Cherry is a separate Private Reserve ink in a dark red shade. Black Magic Blue is a deep blue.
