Kolinsky Sable originates from Kola in a very cold part of North East Russia. The sable from this area is very durable, yet soft and springy, returning to its original shape quickly. The benefit of that is that it allows the artist to produce detailed work, miniature, precise strokes and fine layers of colour. Suitable for use by beginners to professionals.
