Why fountain pen users love Tomoe River

Tomoe River paper is remarkably thin, yet it handles fountain pen ink beautifully. Inks sit on the surface instead of soaking in, so you see their true colour, shading, sheen and shimmer. Lines stay crisp, with very little feathering, even with wet, broad nibs.

Lightweight, page after page

Because each sheet weighs only 52gsm, this notebook is slim and light enough to slip into any bag. You will see some show-through on such fine paper, which many users love as part of its character; others simply write on one side.

Simple and honest design

The kraft paper cover is plain and natural, perfect for decorating, labelling or leaving as it is. Saddle stitching lets the notebook open easily, so writing near the centre is comfortable.

Ideal for

• Testing and swatching inks
• Letter writing and journaling with fountain pens
• Anyone who wants to try Tomoe River paper without buying a large pad
