After a heavy snowfall, there’s a soft moment when snow slides off a pine branch and drifts to the ground. The Japanese have a word for exactly that: shizuriyuki. The Sailor Professional Gear Slim Shikiori Setsugetsu Soraha Shizuriyuki ball pen captures that quiet winter scene in a clean white resin body with gold plated trim.

The Professional Gear shape

If the 1911 is Sailor’s classic rounded pen, the Professional Gear (often called the Pro Gear) is its modern sibling, recognisable by its flat, squared-off ends. It gives the pen a crisp, architectural look that many people find more contemporary. The Slim version keeps things streamlined: 133mm long and 12mm in diameter.

A satisfying weight

At 29g, this ball pen feels solid and balanced in the hand. That weight helps it glide across the page with less pressure, which is lovely for long notes or signing stacks of documents. It opens with a twist, with no cap to lose.

About Setsugetsu

Setsugetsu combines the Japanese words for snow and moon, two classic images of beauty in Japanese poetry. The Shikiori Setsugetsu Soraha pens take their shades from these seasonal scenes, and Shizuriyuki is the pure winter white of the group.

Styling tip

White and gold looks fantastic with a black leather notebook or a white desk setup. It’s also a beautiful choice for a wedding gift or a winter birthday.
