Haruzora means “spring sky” in Japanese: that soft, hazy blue you see on the first warm days after winter. The Sailor Professional Gear Slim Shikiori Setsugetsu Soraha Haruzora ball pen wears that hopeful colour with gold plated trim, on Sailor’s distinctive flat-ended Pro Gear body.

Here’s everything you need to know before you buy.

1. The design

The Professional Gear line is easy to recognise thanks to its flat, squared-off cap top and barrel end. Compared to the rounded Sailor 1911, it feels more modern and structured. This is the Slim model, measuring 133mm in length with a 12mm diameter.

2. The weight

It weighs 29g, which is on the heavier side for a resin ball pen, in a good way. You’ll feel a smooth, steady glide across the page, and your hand doesn’t have to press hard to get a clean line.

3. The mechanism

It’s capless. Twist the barrel to bring the refill out and twist back to retract. Quiet, quick and pocket-safe.

4. The colour story

The Shikiori Setsugetsu Soraha pens are named after scenes of snow, moon and sky. Haruzora is the spring entry: a light, fresh blue that lifts the mood on a grey Monday morning.

5. Who it’s for

Anyone who wants a blue Sailor ball pen with more character than a standard office pen. It’s also a beautiful spring birthday or new-beginnings gift, arriving in Sailor’s original box with an international warranty card.
