Purple with personality

Cassia is one of the most cheerful purples in the fountain pen world. It is bright enough to stand out yet deep enough for comfortable reading, a lovely choice for journals, letters and creative projects.

How it writes

With rich saturation and wet flow, Cassia lays down a bold line in any nib. On smooth paper and with wetter pens, some writers notice a subtle sheen at the edges of strokes.

Great for

• Journaling and personal letters
• Colour-coding notes and planners
• Demonstrator pens that show off the ink

About Rohrer & Klingner

Founded in 1892, the German ink house makes dye-based writing inks for fountain pens, dip pens and calligraphy.

Frequently asked questions

Is Cassia water resistant?

No, it is not water resistant, not pigmented and not an iron gall ink.

Does it stain pens?

Pen pairing ideas

Cassia glows in clear or purple pens and suits medium and broad nibs, where its saturation and occasional sheen really come through.
