Platinum 3776 Century Gathered Fountain Pen is a designer pen from Platinum. The ribbed effect on the barrel and cap, differentiated by broad rings in between highlight the elements of the pen. Moving away from the contemporary design, Gathered is popular for its uniquness. The pen has an unusual design and is definitely one of a kind amongst its 3776 brethren; firstly, it is not the normal cigar shape because the top of the cap is flat and secondly it is a snap cap as oppose to the normal screw caps on the 3776s. This pen features a 14KT gold nib and a standard Platnium converter. The threads that attach the section to the barrel are cut so well, that when the section is fully screwed into place, the fit is so good and it is hard to see where the two parts of the pen meet. You will love Platinum’s latest technology and innovative cap design of Cap-in-Cap or also called as the “Slip & Seal” mechanism which prevents ink from drying out, even if kept unused for long time. The 14KT gold nib is amazingly smooth with no skips, stutters, or blotches, and allows you to use proprietary Platinum cartridges or a Platinum converter for use with bottled ink. It’s a solid workhorse that also looks fantastic and feels great. This fountain pen has it all an affordable price, gold nib, and classic design making it a connoisseur’s favourite and a great choice for gifting. Get the Platinum 3776 Century Fountain Pen and experience writing with a truly exceptional pen.
