Ku-jaku is Japanese for peacock, and this ink captures the shimmering blue-green of a peacock’s feathers. Pilot Iroshizuku Ku Jaku is a vivid turquoise fountain pen ink that brings instant life to your writing, presented in a handy 15ml glass bottle.

A turquoise with personality

Turquoise sits between blue and green, and it’s one of the most joyful ink colours you can use. It’s bright enough to feel fun but still easy to read, which makes it a favourite for everyday journaling as well as creative projects.

Why fountain pen users love Iroshizuku

Pilot’s Iroshizuku line is often recommended to anyone building an ink collection. The colours are beautifully considered, and each one is named after something from Japanese nature. Ku Jaku is a great example: poetic name, gorgeous colour.

How to enjoy it

Ku Jaku works in any fountain pen that fills from a bottle. A medium or broad nib will show off more of the colour’s depth, while a fine nib gives a crisp, bright line.

Properties

No shimmer, not fast drying and not water resistant. It’s made for personal writing, letters, journals and art rather than official documents.

Gift idea

A small bottle of Ku Jaku paired with a clear demonstrator pen makes a thoughtful gift for any fountain pen enthusiast.
