Look up on a clear day and you’ll see the colour of Pilot Iroshizuku Ama Iro. Ama-iro means sky colour in Japanese, and this bright light blue ink is as fresh and open as a summer sky. It comes in a compact 15ml glass bottle.

Light blue, perfect for everyday joy

Light blue inks are cheerful without being overwhelming. Ama Iro is bright enough to read comfortably, yet soft enough to feel calm on the page. It’s a lovely choice for journaling, note-taking, letter writing and planner spreads.

The Iroshizuku story

Pilot’s Iroshizuku range takes its name from iro (colour) and shizuku (droplet). Each ink is named after a part of Japan’s natural world, and together they form one of the most loved premium ink collections anywhere.

Tips

• A medium or broad nib will show more of Ama Iro’s colour
• Pair it with a clear or white pen for a fresh, sky-inspired look
• Flush your pen with water when changing colours

Specifications to note

Ama Iro is not fast drying, not water resistant and has no shimmer. It’s ideal for creative and personal writing.
