Soft, dreamy and quietly luxurious, the Opus 88 Harmony Fountain Pen in Mocha Mousse RGT is one of the prettiest pens in the Harmony family. Its translucent pink-purple resin glows when light passes through it, and rose gold plated trim adds a warm, feminine finish.

Why writers are drawn to it

• Translucent body: watch the ink level through the barrel
• Eyedropper filling: fill the barrel straight from the bottle for a large ink supply
• Shut-off valve: a piston-operated valve at the end of the barrel helps prevent leaks when the pen is not in use
• Rose gold plated trim for an elegant, warm look
• Steel nib in Fine, Medium or Broad

How the shut-off valve works

Turn the knob at the end of the barrel to open the valve before writing, and close it when you are done. With the valve closed, ink stays in the barrel instead of flowing to the feed, which is especially reassuring when you travel or carry the pen in a bag.

Size and feel

At 146mm long and 15mm in diameter, the Harmony is a comfortable full-size pen. It weighs just 26g, so it stays light in the hand during long writing sessions. The cap does not post; write with it unposted.

Ink pairings we love

• Rose, dusty pink or mauve inks to match the barrel
• Soft brown or sepia for a latte-and-cream look
• Deep purple for rich, dramatic writing
