Why Brushed Steel?

Brushed stainless steel is the most hard-wearing Ritma finish. It hides fingerprints, shrugs off scuffs and gives the pen a satisfying, solid weight.

The Ritma design

The Brushed Steel Ritma takes its inspiration from 1960s and 70s minimalism, and the fountain pen has a straight, cylindrical body, clean flat ends and a clip with a long oval cut-out that has become the series’ signature. Its magnetic cap snaps onto the Brushed Steel barrel with a satisfying click and posts on the end for a longer writing length.

Writing with the Brushed Steel Ritma

Monteverde fits the Brushed Steel Ritma with a size #6 stainless steel nib from JoWo in Germany. For the Brushed Steel pen, pick Extra Fine to Broad for everyday writing, a 1.1 Stub for crisp italic lines, or Omniflex for gentle line variation. The Brushed Steel Ritma accepts standard international cartridges, and a converter is included in the box for bottled ink.
