Why choose Purple Frost?

Purple Frost pairs a soft matte purple cap with bright chrome trim. It is a playful, wintry colour that looks lovely with purple, blue and pink inks swirling in the clear barrel.

How the Lock-It piston works

To fill the Purple Frost MP1, unlock the piston knob, dip the nib in ink and turn the knob to draw it up into the barrel. When you are done, the Lock-It catch of the Purple Frost pen holds the knob in place so it cannot be turned by accident. Because the whole barrel of the Purple Frost MP1 is the ink chamber, it holds around 2ml, far more than a standard converter.

A German nib for every hand

Monteverde fits the Purple Frost MP1 with a #6 stainless steel nib from JoWo in Germany, on a plasma-treated feed for consistent flow. Choose your Purple Frost MP1 in Extra Fine to Broad, a 1.1 stub for italic-style lettering, or Omniflex, a soft, flexible steel nib that gives line variation with gentle pressure.
