What is MD paper?

MD paper is Midori’s own paper, developed in Japan for writing. It has a soft cream tone that is easy on the eyes and a smooth surface that fountain pens glide across, with very little feathering. Many writers consider it one of the most pleasant papers for everyday fountain pen use.

Why ‘Light’?

The Light versions are slimmer than the classic MD Notebook: fewer pages per book, so each one is thin and light, easy to carry and quick to fill. When one is finished, you start the next, and the included index stickers help you label and archive them.

A4 Variant format

This size is slightly shorter than standard A4, at 275 x 210mm, giving a wide page with a comfortable, slightly squarer feel. The 5mm grid is subtle enough for writing and precise enough for charts and drawings.
