Spooky Little Craft Fest Workshop

Haunted Hues: Watercolor Journaling for Beginners by Emily Solis

Enter the spooky and colorful world of watercolor in Haunted Hues: Watercolor Journaling for Beginners! This beginner-friendly workshop is designed to introduce students to the foundations of watercolor in a fun, relaxed, and approachable way. Participants will learn basic watercolor techniques such as blending, layering, creating washes, and adding simple details while exploring playful Halloween-inspired colors, textures, and themes.

Throughout class, students will experiment with watercolor through guided exercises before using the techniques theyve learned to create their own spooky-themed journal spread. This workshop encourages creativity over perfection, helping students feel more confident exploring watercolor as a medium without fear of messing up.

By the end of class, attendees will leave with a finished seasonal journal spread, foundational watercolor skills, and the reminder that watercolor is meant to be playful, expressive, and imperfect in the best way.

Workshop includes:
Travel watercolor kit with 6 spooky watercolors, watercolor paper, custom name tag, thank you card and worksheet for journaling ideas
