Inspired by the calming hues of the ocean, the Esterbrook Estie Button Fill fountain pen in Sea Glass captures the soft, weathered beauty of glass smoothed by the waves, finished with warm gold trim.

Key highlights

• Colour: Sea Glass, cool ocean-inspired tones
• Trim: gold plated
• Filling: Esterbrook Button Fill, built into the pen
• Nib: JoWo #6 steel in EF, F, M, B or Stub 1.1
• Body: blended acrylic resin, hand-turned
• Cap: screw cap with cushion closure
• Posted length: about 170mm

Fill it like a vintage pen

Unscrew the end of the barrel, dip the nib into your ink, and press the button a few times. With each press, the pen draws in more ink, a simple and satisfying system inspired by Parker’s 1940s Vacumatic. There are no cartridges or converters to buy, and the pen holds more ink than a typical converter.

Why Sea Glass?

Sea Glass is serene and refreshing. Its cool, glassy tones feel like a walk along the shore, and the gold trim adds a touch of warmth and classic elegance.

The Estie experience

The Estie is a generously sized pen with a comfortable grip and Esterbrook’s cushion-closure cap, which helps keep the nib ready to write. The screw-in JoWo nib writes smoothly and can be swapped for other Esterbrook nibs later if you want to experiment.

Nib guide

• Extra Fine and Fine: for small handwriting and planners
• Medium: the everyday favourite
• Broad: for a bold, expressive line
• Stub 1.1: for elegant thick-and-thin strokes

Ink ideas

Turquoise, teal and aqua inks echo the Sea Glass colours, while a soft grey or blue-black gives a calm, professional look.
