The Caran d’Ache 849 Colormat-X 0.7mm Mechanical Pencil in Violet brings the rich colour range of the 849 family to a mechanical pencil, with a soft-touch satin microblasted finish.

What is Colormat-X?

Colormat-X is a colour line within the 849 family, described by Caran d’Ache as the sparkling rainbow of the 849 in a mechanical pencil. The matte, microblasted aluminium feels smooth and resists fingerprints.

Highlights

• Iconic hexagonal aluminium body in violet
• 0.7mm HB lead, strong enough for everyday writing
• Push-button mechanism with an eraser and lead reservoir beneath
• Swiss Made, supplied in a white slimpack

Why 0.7mm?

A 0.7mm lead breaks less often than 0.5mm and gives a bolder line, which many people prefer for handwriting and quick sketches.
