Hobonichi Techo 2027 Cousin Cover – Moomin: My Yard (Pink Gray)

A5 Cousin Size

Moomin was created in 1945 by Tove Jansson, Finlands beloved author, painter, and artist. This year, the world of those stories has once again been brought to life as a Hobonichi Techo cover.

This covers design features scenes from the novelMoominpappa at Sea, in which the Moomin family goes to live on an island. Seeking solace in their new life there, Moominmamma paints a garden on the wall of the lighthouse, where she is depicted asleep, embroidered in bright purple thread on a pink-gray cotton fabric. Above the illustration, youll find a quote from Moominmamma stitched in deep pink thread: Well, it’ll be another nice long day tomorrow. The embroidery on the back depicts the Moomin family gathered together on the island they have made their home.

The interior is lined in an elegant, soft pink. The pockets are made from the same fabric as the cover, and the right pocket features a print of Moominpappa and Moomintroll out on a boat, hauling in a net and rowing with all their might. The tips of the bookmarks are adorned with charms in the shape of a white shell and a flower.

Flip open this pocket to find the English translation of a line spoken by Moominpappa in the novel.

The brand card features the lighthouse, one of the storys most important motifs.
